OneDrive : neue Version und neue Gruppenrichtlinien

Die Zeit über den Jahreswechsel ist vorbei. Das merkt man auch bei den Versionen, die in den unterschiedlichen Ringen für den OneDrive Sync Client (OneDrive.exe) zur Verfügung gestellt worden sind. Da wären zuerst einmal zum 25.1.2020 im Produktions-Ring die Version 21.002.0104.0004, die zuvor im Insiders-Ring getestet werden konnte. Nun erfahren wir auch, was mit dieser Version den Bennutzer erwartet: Fehlerkorrekturen zur Verbesserung der Zuverlässigkeit und Leistung des Clients. Microsoft have published the first OneDrive Version in  the Year 2021. The Version 21.002.0104.0004 is for the Insiders ring. As usual, Microsoft does not tell us what new or revised features are hidden in this version. Anyone who has noticed something new or changed is welcome to contact me. OneDrive 64 Bit – 20.249.1210.0001 – Do NOT install

First a warning. Do not install the version 20.249.1210.0001 This is a "Leaked" version from Microsoft and not an Insider version. But one by one Since 2016 there has been a "demand" in UserVoice for a 64 bit solution. Now someone has leaked the internal version to the IT media, saying: this is an Insider version. Aber der Reihe nach Seit 2016 gibt es  in UserVoice die “Forderung” nach einer 64 Bit Lösung. Jetzt hat jemand die interne Version den IT-Medien zugespielt, mit dem Hinweis: Dies ist eine Insider Version. Das ist nach Rückfrage mit der OneDrive Produktgruppe in Redmond definitiv falsch! OneDrive: Neue Versionen verfügbar – New Versions available

There is still the worm in it. First the production version of OneDrive 20.201.1005.0009 overtook the Insiders version 20.201.1005.0008. But on the weekend there was a new Insiders version with 20.219.1029.0005. Unfortunately the versions did not arrive on the American Microsoft web page nor on the German website . Microsoft startet mit “Add to OneDrive” langfristig die nächste Generation der Synchronisation. Die Idee der Synchronisation, die das Grundelement der Zusammenarbeit darstellt, hat nämlich Ihre Grenzen, die bei einigen Microsoft 365 Kunden zu umfangreichen Umorganisierungen der SharePoint Bibliotheken geführt hat. Obwohl die Prozessoren der kleinen Geräte immer schneller geworden sind, stoßen wir bei sehr vielen Dateien an die Grenzen. Mit Windows 10, Build 1709 hielt dann zwar “Dateien auf Abruf” Einzug. Please read here first Documentation The Microsoft documentation on Group Policy „Exclude certain file types from uploading“ is partly incorrect and incomplete. Incorrect: The registry key is incorrect Missing information: currently no Office formats are supported. I have only tested this with docx, xlsx and pptx.  Microsoft has informed me that the documentation will be adapted. In the wildcard description only the asterisk [*] is described. [Nachtrag 23.11.2020] Dies ist ein Nachtrag zu einem Blogpost vom 16.11.20. Bitte zuerst hier lesen. Dokumentation Die Microsoft Dokumentation zur Gruppenrichtlinie “Bestimmte Dateitypen vom Hochladen ausschliessen” ist zum Teil falsch und nicht vollständig. Falsch: Der Name der Gruppenrichtlinie ist ebenfalls falsch. In der dazugehörenden ADML heißt die Gruppenrichtlinie “Schließen Sie das Hochladen bestimmter Dateitypen aus”. Der Registrierungsschlüssel ist falsch Fehlende Angaben: derzeit werden keine Office-Formate unterstützt. Ich hatte das bisher nur mit  docx, xlsx und pptx getestet.  Microsoft hat mir zu verstehen gegeben, dass die Dokumentation angepasst wird. Jetzt sind schon ein paar Wochen vergangen, seit ich die Grundlagen OneDrive mit der 8.Teil veröffentlicht habe. aMS Germany – Online Event in Deutschland

aus aOS Aachen wurde aMS Germany. Die Corona Pandemie erfordert neue Weg. Aus einem Event in Aachen, bei der sowohl Teilnehmer als auch Sprecher 2019 noch anreisen durften, wurde ein Online Event, der dieses Jahr am 1.12.20 stattfinden wird. aOS steht für Azure, Office und SharePoint aMS steht für Azure, Microsoft 365 und SharePoint Ich bin im Organisationskomitee mit Patrick Guimonet aus Frankreich, Sascha Fredrich und Martin Gudel, beide aus Deutschland, verantwortlich für Soziale Medien. Am 13.11.2020 ist es soweit. Komme mir vor wie Phil Collins beim Live Aid Concert im Jahr 1985, wo er an einem Tag zuerst in London aufgetreten ist, dann mit einem Überschallflugzeug in die USA flog umd dann beim Live-Aid Ausgabe des Konzerts in Philadelphia aufgetreten ist.
