[Update 14.11.2020] Zur Zeit hat Microsoft ein Problem mit der hier un den anderen Artikeln beschriebenen Funktion “mit mir geteilte Dateien im Explorer anzeigen”, also von externen Benutzern mir zugesandte Ordner inkl. Dateien lokal zu synchronisieren. Bisher bestehende Ordner und ihre Dateien werden weiterhin synchronisiert, neue können jedoch nicht einmal im Browser angezeigt werden (Shared With Me). Dabei bekommt der Empfänger folgende Meldung. Microsoft hat diese Funktion jedoch abgeschaltet (temporär), um Komplikationen mit der neuen Funktion “Zu OneDrive hinzufügen” aus dem Weg zu gehen. Der Next Generation Sync Client wird automatisch auf die neuste Version umgestellt. Sollte die automatische Umstellung nicht funktionieren, so kann man sich hier die neuste Version herunterladen. Hier das Microsoft Changelog zu den einzelnen Veröffentlichungen. Da diese Tabellen einen sehr großen Aufwand bedeuten, und die meisten Benutzer die englische Version des Artikels betrachten, habe ich mich entschlossen, nur noch die englische Version zu pflegen. OneDrive for Business | November-Update (Groove.exe)

In November 2016 Microsoft published two Updates for the old Sync Client OneDrive for Business (Groove.exe). You have to use this Sync client for local synchronizations from all SharePoint on-Premise variants. The same Sync client should be used to sync data from Office 365 Groups or Teamsites. According to the Schedule of Microsoft this should be changed till end of the year. im November 2016 hat Microsoft zwei Updates zur Synchronisation-Client OneDrive for Business (Groove.exe) veröffentlicht. Dieser Synchronisations-Client wird für den Zugriff auf alle SharePoint On-Premise Varianten benötigt. Gleiches gilt aber auch, um Office 365 Dokumenten-Bibliotheken von Team-Sites und Groups mit einem lokalen Gerät zu synchronisieren. Laut Zeitplan von Microsoft soll sich dies bis zum Jahresende ändern. Die Version trägt die Nummer 17.3.6674.1021 Diese Version wird nicht automatisch installiert, das muss man selbst durchführen. Update 7.11.16 Ich habe von einem Partner die Information erhalten, dass bei ihm die neue Version automatisch upgedatet wurde. If you use the Preview Version of the Next Generation Sync Client, you also should be familiar with the Naming Convention in the Windows Explorer. All pictures are made with the Preview Version 17.3.6642.0922 of the NGSC. Wer schon mit der Preview des Next Generation Sync Client arbeitet, muss sich auch mit der Namenkonvention im Explorer vertraut machen. Die nachstehenden Abbildungen und Beschreibungen beziehen sich auf die Preview Version 17.3.6642.0922 des Next Generation Sync Clients (Installation habe ich hier beschrieben) Grundsätzlich ist es so, dass Änderungen an Namen in Gruppen, Team- Websites oder direkt am Tenant keine Änderungen bei der Synchronisation hervorrufen.
