At Microsoft Ignite 2025, Gaia Carini from the OneDrive product group in Redmond announced that a long-established threshold would be raised. She spoke of 500,000 files to be synchronized. To get straight to the point: it won’t work with classic synchronization, but only with the Add a Shortcut to my Files function. t’s now been over thirteen months since I submitted an Excel sheet to the Microsoft OneDrive product group. That document detailed eighteen discrepancies across fifty-three group policies. Since then, some issues have been resolved, some policies removed. The total has dropped to forty-nine, but nine inconsistencies remain – untouched and still affecting administrators worldwide. OneDrive: Fehlerhafte Gruppenrichtlinien – ein Dauerärgernis

Vor über 13 Monaten habe ich der Microsoft OneDrive Produktgruppe eine Excel-Datei übermittelt. Darin enthalten: 18 dokumentierte Unstimmigkeiten in der Beschreibung und Umsetzung von 53 Gruppenrichtlinien. Fast anderthalb Jahre später, mit der Version 25.084.0501.0001 des OneDrive-Sync-Clients, ist die Zahl der Gruppenrichtlinien auf 49 geschrumpft – die Zahl der Fehler jedoch bleibt beachtlich: 9 dokumentierte Unstimmigkeiten bestehen weiterhin. In July 2024, I reported on this in the German M365 News Show. Unfortunately, it still contained errors. I reported these to the Microsoft OneDrive group in Redmond. Then the sharing was withdrawn. And it took quite some time, but now the new sharing with expiration date has been published again: Anyone Nothing has changed here.
