Coming soon:New naming logic for Microsoft OneDrive folder shortcuts. Microsoft will add the name of the user’s website or OneDrive to all new folder shortcuts. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): Micfrosoft will begin rolling out mid-March 2025 and expect to complete by mid-April 2025. Demnächst verfügbar: Neue Benennungslogik für Microsoft OneDrive Ordnerverknüpfungen. Microsoft wird den Namen der Website oder des OneDrive des Benutzers zu allen neuen Ordnerverknüpfungen hinzufügen. Wann dies geschehen wird: Allgemeine Verfügbarkeit (weltweit, GCC, GCC High, DoD): Microsoft wird Mitte März 2025 mit der Einführung beginnen und voraussichtlich bis Mitte April 2025 fertig sein. In July 2024, I reported on this in the German M365 News Show. Unfortunately, it still contained errors. I reported these to the Microsoft OneDrive group in Redmond. Then the sharing was withdrawn. And it took quite some time, but now the new sharing with expiration date has been published again: Anyone Nothing has changed here. The administrator can specify a time limit for the anonymous link (can be forwarded) for the entire tenant (max. 730 days), which the user can only shorten and not extend. The automatic closing of links has always been on the wish list of administrators. Because a closed link, or rather a link that no longer leads to the target, is one less vulnerability. But haven’t we already been through this? Yes, but only with an anonymous „external“ link. If the administrators allowed it at all, they could set a time limit for anonymous sharing. Das sich Links automatisch Schließen, stand schon immer auf der Wunschliste der Administratoren. Denn ein geschlossener Link, oder sagen wir besser, ein Link, der nicht mehr zum Ziel führt, ist eine Angriffslücke weniger. Aber, das hatten wir doch schon? Ja, aber nur beim anonymen „externen“ Link. Wenn es die Administratoren überhaupt zugelassen haben, konnten sie eine zeitliche Beschränkung für das anonyme Teilen vorgeben. During the Microsoft OneDrive Office Hours on 04/17/24 the question comes up, why not using CheckIn and CheckOut to handle Conflicts. And because its still available for SharePoint, but people do not find it on OneDrive (for Business). But OneDrive for Business is also a site collection of SharePoint it must be there. Das Ausschließen von Dateien in der Synchronisation vom Gerät zur Cloud ist nicht neu. Für OneDrive for Business habe ich zuerst am 16.11.2020 und dann noch einmal am 23.11.2020 geschrieben. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Gruppenrichtlinie, die der Anwender nicht beinflussen kann.
