Nachdem Microsoft am 14.03.17 die globale Verfügbarkeit des Produktes Microsoft Teams bekannt gegeben hat, sollte ich auch einmal etwas darüber schreiben. Nein, nicht über Microsoft Teams. Such man Einschränkungen oder Limits zum Next Generation Snyc Client bekommt man sehr viele Informationen, selbst wenn man sich auf die Microsoft Seiten beschränkt. Da selbst die Microsoft Seiten kein Datum tragen, nicht jeder in HTML reinschauen möchte und HTML lesen kann,ist es sehr schwierig, das richtige zu finden. Denn eine Pflege der Seiten, mit Links zu neuen, wird nicht oder nur in Ausnahmefällen betrieben. Chris McNulty, Microsoft und ExMVP hat  in Microsoft Tech Community unter SharePoint weitere Details beschrieben beschrieben: Die von mir beschriebenen Änderungen wurde erweitert: Das Limit von 50 MB beim Kopieren wurde auf 500 MB angehoben Es kann jetzt auch innerhalb einer Bibliothek kopiert werden, dann wird eine Datei mit einer Nummer am Ende des Datei-Namens erzeugt. Diese Änderungen erfolgen zuerst im First Release und anschließend an allen Office 365 Tenants! Es ist schon ein paar Tage her,seit dem wir in der Lage sind, Dokumente und Dateien in SharePoint auf den lokalen PC zu synchronisieren. Die alte Technologie (Groove.exe) und die neue Technologie des Next Generation Sync Client versetzt uns in die Lage, diese Dateien sicher zwischen der Cloud und einem lokalen Gerät zu übertragen und die Bearbeitung mit mehreren Personen zu initiieren. Die neuen Client-Programme wie Word, Excel und PowerPoint oder aber die Online Versionen sind inzwischen mit erweiterten Möglichkeiten ausgestattet, so dass z.B. auch das gleichzeitige Bearbeiten von Dokumenten möglich ist. Manchmal ist es einfach. Da kann der große Bruder vom kleinen Bruder lernen. Und das hat OneDrive for Business von OneDrive (der persönlichen Variante) gelernt. Dort gibt es die Funktionalität schon lange. Es geht um das automatische “Zippen” von mehreren Dateien bei einem Download: 1 Zuerst werden in einer Dokumentenbibliothek mehrere Dateien markiert. 2 Dann wird auf Herunterladen geklickt 3 Alle markierten Dateien werden in eine OneDrive_XXXX.X.XX.zip Datei gepackt und zum Herunterladen angeboten und je nach Browser und Einstellung automatisch gespeichert. Microsoft has it on the roadmap for the first quarter 2017. Not only copying but also move documents between OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Team Sites. Already for a long time you could copy Data from OneDrive for Business to SharePoint Team Sites, but copy leads to irritation by users, because now the same file was on to different locations, unless you have deleted it manually. Es stand auf der Microsoft Roadmap der OneDrive-Produktgruppe für das erste Quartal 2017. Das Verschieben von Dokumenten zwischen OneDrive for Business und SharePoint Team Sites. Schon seit längerer Zeit konnte man Dateien von OneDrive for Business kopieren, dies führte jedoch bei einigen Benutzern zu Irritationen, weil jetzt die Datei doppelt vorhanden war, wenn man Sie von der Quelle nicht manuell löschte. Seit kurzem wird das Verschieben nach auf allen Tenants von Microsoft Office 365 ausgerollt. Damit wird das Verschieben eingeführt. Auch das Kopieren wird erweitert. Next Generation Snyc Cient | neue PreView Version 17.3.6674.1021

Microsoft hat hier eine neue Version der Preview des Next Generation Sync Client veröffentlicht und diese kann heruntergeladen werden. Die Version trägt die Nummer 17.3.6674.1021 Diese Version wird nicht automatisch installiert, das muss man selbst durchführen. Update 7.11.16 Ich habe von einem Partner die Information erhalten, dass bei ihm die neue Version automatisch upgedatet wurde. Naming Convention in Explorer with the Next Generation Sync Client

If you use the Preview Version of the Next Generation Sync Client, you also should be familiar with the Naming Convention in the Windows Explorer. All pictures are made with the Preview Version 17.3.6642.0922 of the NGSC. (If you want to install this version, read here) But you must note, that all changes, you will do in Office 365, like renaming the tenant name or team sites or Groups do not reflect in the Windows Explorer. Wer schon mit der Preview des Next Generation Sync Client arbeitet, muss sich auch mit der Namenkonvention im Explorer vertraut machen. Die nachstehenden Abbildungen und Beschreibungen beziehen sich auf die Preview Version 17.3.6642.0922 des Next Generation Sync Clients (Installation habe ich hier beschrieben) Grundsätzlich ist es so, dass Änderungen an Namen in Gruppen, Team- Websites oder direkt am Tenant keine Änderungen bei der Synchronisation hervorrufen. Hier muss Microsoft noch nachbessern.
