At Microsoft Ignite 2025, Gaia Carini from the OneDrive product group in Redmond announced that a long-established threshold would be raised. She spoke of 500,000 files to be synchronized. To get straight to the point: it won’t work with classic synchronization, but only with the Add a Shortcut to my Files function. Coming soon:New naming logic for Microsoft OneDrive folder shortcuts. Microsoft will add the name of the user’s website or OneDrive to all new folder shortcuts. Microsoft wird den Namen der Website oder des OneDrive des Benutzers zu allen neuen Ordnerverknüpfungen hinzufügen. The automatic closing of links has always been on the wish list of administrators. Because a closed link, or rather a link that no longer leads to the target, is one less vulnerability. Was bedeutet unterschiedliche Ergebnisse? Ja, ich weiß: Wenn Microsoft eine Funktion ausrollt, dann kann es bis zu 21 Tage dauern, bis der letzte Benutzer von Microsoft 365 das Ergebnis hat.
