Noch zwei Wochen bis zur großen Konferenz in Orlando, Florida: Microsoft Ignite. Florida? War da nicht etwas? Richtig. Irma zog über das Land und verursachte Milliardenschäden. Sommerloch? Nichts neues bei den NGSC Versionen? Ich habe ein paar Tage gewartet. Ob sich was tut in Change Log von Microsoft. Weder im deutschen, noch im amerikanischen. Aber Pustekuchen. Nichts.  Sommerpause. [Update 22.08.17] Microsoft hat einen Eintrag veröffentlicht: Probleme in Bezug auf die Synchronisierungszuverlässigkeit und Anwendungsstabilität wurden behoben. Azure Cologne Meetup – OneDrive Deep Dive | Termin und Ort steht

Es ist nicht immer einfach, Termine abzustimmen und zu finden. Mal hängt es hier, dann da, aber nach viel Hin- und Hergeschiebe haben wir jetzt einen Termin und Ort gefunden. Which version you have installed have different reasons: If your tenant is “On first release”, you will receive the version 17.3.6955.0712, also if you are a Windows Insider. All other users are still remain on version 17.3.6917.0607 and: Don’t worry about that. What’s inside in this version? Writing this blog post, I do not have find out, what has changed in version 17.6955.0712. I do not see new features, but I do not know, if this version only fixes bugs. Während die Benutzer, denen der Office 365 Administrator die Einstellung “Standard” für die Veröffentlichung des Tenants gewählt hat, die Version 17.3.6917.0607 auf ihren Geräten vorfinden, haben die Benutzer mit der Einstellung “Erstveröffentlichung für alle oder ausgewählte Benutzer” in diesen Tagen die Version 17.3.6955.0712 erhalten. Dazu zählen auch die Windows Insider. Was bringt mir die neue Version Bisher habe ich noch nicht herausgefunden, was an der Version 17.3.6955.0712 neues enthält. Oder nur wieder Verbesserungen und Fixes von Fehlern. Ich habe mehrere Geräte. Mit unterschiedlichen Betriebssystemen. Und, keine Überraschung, unterschiedlichen Next Generation Sync Clients (NGSC) auf den Geräten. Zu den meist gestellten Fragen, die mich erreichen, gehört diese: Wo bekomme ich den neusten NGSC Client, damit ich ihn manuell installieren / updaten kann? Und meine Antwort lautet: Man muss den NGSC nicht manuell umstellen.
