Something has happened again with the group policies. With the Insider version 21.099.0516.0003 on Friday, 05/29/21  a new group policy object was added. I also have to add something here: 21.073.0411.0002 On 5/18/21 this version was released to the production ring 21.078.0418.0001 This version was a prerequisite for the preview of the OneDrive synchronization reports. Es hat sich wieder etwas getan bei den Gruppenrichtlinien. Mit der Insider Version 21.099.0516.0003 am Freitag, 29.05.21 wurde eine neues Gruppenrichtlinien Objekt hinzugefügt. Außerdem muss ich hier noch etwas nachtragen: 21.073.0411.0002 Zum 18.5.21 wurde diese Version für den Produktions-Ring freigegeben 21.078.0418.0001 Diese Version war Voraussetzung für die Preview der OneDrive Synchronisierung Reports. Hierzu gab es auch eine neue Gruppenrichtlinie mit dem Namen Synchronisieren von Administratorberichten (Computer-Richtlinie) Hierzu habe ich bereits einen Blog Post geschrieben. 21.083.0425.0001 Die Performace der Sync Admin Reports Meldungen war aber mangelhaft. OneDrive | Neue Version 64 Bit und 32 Bit

Pünktlich zum Wochenende hat Microsoft wieder einmal eine neue Versionen für den Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive.exe) publiziert. Und weil wir in der vegangenen Woche ja mit einer Preview der 64 Bit Version  manuell installieren konnten, sind im Update Pfad auch beide Versionen enthalten: Windows Die Insider erhielten sowohl in 32 Bit & 64 Bit die Version 21.067.0404.0001. Damit laufen beide Versionen parallel (was die Versionierung angeht). Just in time for the weekend, Microsoft has once again published a new version for the Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive.exe). And because we were able to manually install a preview of the 64 bit version last week, both versions are included in the update path:   Windows Insiders received version 21.067.0404.0001 in both 32 bit & 64 bit, so both versions are running in parallel (as far as versioning is concerned). The computer policy is called Cause sync client to ignore normal web proxy detection logic, the version can be found in the admx/adml file shipped with OneDrive version 21.036.0221.0001. Microsoft has not yet added a description in the documentation. But this will change shortly Now you could say, I always install the English versions, but for all admimnistrators who struggle with English, it’s easier to install the German verision on the Windows 10 client. In der englischen Sprache heist die Computerrichtlinie Cause sync client to ignore normal web proxy detection logic, in der deutschen Synchronisierungsclient veranlassen, die normale Webproxy Erkennungslogik zu ignorieren. die Version findet sich in der admx/adml Datei, die mit der OneDrive Version 21.036.0221.0001 ausgeliefert wird. Noch hat Microsoft keine Beschreibung in der Dokumentation hinzugefügt. Das wird sich aber in Kürze ändern Nun könnte man ja sagen, ich installiere immer die englische ersionen, aber für alle Admimnistratoren, die sich mit dem englischen schwertun, ist es einfacher, die deutsche Version auf dem Windows 10 Client zu installieren. Add to OneDrive | Disable Add Shortcuts to OneDrive

If you want to disable Add to OneDrive, you can do that as an Administrator. To  opt-Out you have to set Set-SPOTenant command via Admin PowerShell. The command is Set-SPOTenant -DisableAddShortcutsToOneDrive $true When the feature is disabled, the command to add folders will be removed; any folders that have already been added will remain on the user’s computer. But sometimes it is only, that the users do not understand the behavior.
