Next Generation Sync Client | ready for Enterprise?

The answer is: Yes and No. Today. The Next Generation Sync Client is not available for all operating systems. Also it is not ready for all SharePoint storages. You have no chance to connect to SharePoint on Premise, neither to SharePoint Online ( Team sites and Groups). So I have written about that here. Viel Verwirrung herrscht, seitdem Microsoft die erste Version des Next Generation Sync Client ( NGSC) freigegeben hat. Ich habe viele Anfragen auf allen möglichen Kommunikationswegen erhalten. OneDrive for Business | November – Update

Im monatlichen Patch von Microsoft finden wir auch im November ein Update mit der Nummer KB3101505, welches für OneDrive for Business und Windows 10 gilt.   Wie, OneDrive for Business und Windows 10? Wie schon hier beschrieben, wird der alte “Groove”-Client immer noch benutzt, um auf Team Sites oder Gruppen-Dokumenten in SharePoint Online eine lokale Synchronisation durchzuführen. European SharePoint Conference – Recap

Nun ist sie zu Ende. Die 4. Auflage der European SharePoint Conference, die dieses Jahr vom 9.-12. November 2015 ihre Toren im Messezentrum in Stockholm geöffnet hatte. Mit Seth Patton, Jeff Teper, Bill Baer, Jeremy Take und Douglas Pearce waren auch Sprecher von Microsoft USA mit dabei. Und die weiteren Sprecher waren die Creme de la Creme, die von überall aus der Welt ihre Expertise mit ihren Vorträgen abgaben.  Alle Vorträge waren allesamt interessant und die Konferenzteilnehmer hatten die Qual der Wahl. Auch im Monat Oktober gibt es wieder ein Update (KB3085509) für OneDrive for Business. vor dem 13.10.2015 nach dem 13.10.2015 10 Minor Updates beheben folgende Fehler: Beim Synchronisieren einer neuen Bibliothek oder einer vorhanden Bibliothek wird folgende Fehlermeldung ausgegeben: Fehlercode = 0 x 80004005; Fehlerquelle = Groove. Nun ist es also soweit. Nach doch etwas längerer Wartezeit steht die Preview des New3xt Generation Sync Client zur Verfügung.
