OneDrive: new Sharing with expiration date

Hans Brender

In July 2024, I reported on this in the German M365 News Show. Unfortunately, it still contained errors. I reported these to the Microsoft OneDrive group in Redmond. Then the sharing was withdrawn. And it took quite some time, but now the new sharing with expiration date has been published again: Anyone Nothing has changed here. The administrator can specify a time limit for the anonymous link (can be forwarded) for the entire tenant (max. 730 days), which the user can only shorten and not extend. After the time has expired, the link becomes ineffective. So if anonymous sharing is … OneDrive: new Sharing with expiration date weiterlesen

OneDrive iOS: Shortcuts now visible again

Hans Brender

The OneDrive interface has recently been redesigned. Some things are a bit hidden, some things have been forgotten to be displayed. They forgot the shortcuts. Shortcuts to folders looked like normal folders. (left picture). I reported the bug to the Microsoft product group in Redmond and with build 16.0.4 (currently in preview, Apple calls it :Testflight) they are back (right picture). The design is debatable, but I liked the shortcut icon under Windows Explorer better. OneDrive iOS: Shortcuts now visible again weiterlesen

OneDrive iOS: Shortcuts jetzt wieder sichtbar

Hans Brender

OneDrive on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16

Hans Brender

Yesterday I installed the pre-release version of OneDrive on my iPhone, Apple calls these versions Testflight. And the version of OneDrive there has the version number 15.27.2. The next OneDrive version will only support iOS 17 and 18 and iPadOS 17 and 18. To Do Most people will have the current version 15.26.3 installed.

Fixing Microsoft Authenticator Issues When Transferring to a New iPhone

Hans Brender

This article was published first at Tekkigurus.com (12/20/2023), but tekkigurus.com has been closed, so I decided, to republish the article here again:Let’s say you treat yourself to a new iPhone. In this common scenario, Apple promises a smooth data transfer. Just place the devices next to each other… Apple is learning. Almost everything works. In the past, I had problems with WhatsApp where I had to make a separate backup from the app and then import this data onto the new iPhone. Now, you can forget about clunky steps like that.
