OneDrive Wish List for 2023

If you have read my wish list for 2022, then you will find out, that not so many things have changed. Yes, I have a Teams call with 2 members of the Microsoft OneDrive Product Group , but most of entries are still alive. And here are 4 new entries for 2023: Better response I would like to see better feedback on questions from MVPs about OneDrive. I’m thinking of the old Distribution List, where multiple people with the appropriate background knowledge answer the open questions about current OneDrive issues or forward them to the relevant people. „Durch die Hintertür (automatisch) installiert.“ „Ich habe nur immer weiter gedrückt. No Update to Windows 10 1903, if KFM is installed

If you wait for the Update from Windows 10 Version 1809 to 1903, one possible reason is, that you have KFM Known Folder Move installed. This prevents, that you will not receive the install file. And you should NOT install it manually. Microsoft knows about the bug and there is no workaround. They will have a fix available in late May. Bum. Bum. One new OneDrive Version, and after a few days, another Version. So I am late, yes, have spoken on different Conferences. First: Microsoft has changed a version from Insiders Version to a Released version: 18.111.0603.0004. This Version comes with the concept of Known Folder migration (KFM). So Administrators may redirect Users known folder like Desktop, Documents and Pictures to OneDrive for Business. So this makes sense, because each Business User has 1 TB of space, and this space may increase by administrators up to 5 TB , depending on you Office 365 subscription. Einer neuen Version folgt die nächste. Und manchmal komme auch ich nicht hinterher. Weil ich auf mehreren Konferenzen gesprochen habe. Zuerst einmal. Microsoft hat aus der Insiders Version 18.111.0603.0004 eine Released Version gemacht. Und dort ist das Konzept der Know Folder Migration (KFM) implementiert. Endlich haben die Administratoren es in der Hand, bekannte Folder wie Desktop, Dokumente und Bilder umzuleiten auf OneDrive for Business. Das macht Sinn, weil jeder Benutzer der Business Pläne in Office 365 ein Speichervolumen von 1 TB erhält.
