Mitte Juni 2018 habe ich über die neuen Gruppenrichtlinien und Definitionen zu OneDrive geschrieben. Dabei habe ich auch über die fehlende Dokumentation bei Microsoft berichtet. Hier geht es ganz speziell um die Gruppenrichtlinie Require users to confirm large delete operations oder in deutscher Sprache Benutzer müssen umfangreiche Löschvorgänge bestätigen Diese Gruppenrichtlinie verhindert, dass Benutzer “"versehentlich” zu viele Dateien löschen. “Zu viele Dateien” ist festgelegt, was die Anzahl angeht. Microsoft wird aber auf der Webseite eine Korrektur vornehmen. Standard sind es 200 Dateien. keine 4 Monate sind vergangen und erneut hat Microsoft mit der OneDrive Version 19.103.0527.0002 neue Gruppenrichtlinien zur Verfügung gestellt. SharePoint: Wiederherstellen von Dateien in Dokumentenbibliotheken

Ein weiterer Self-Service, wenn man sich einmal einen Verschlüsselungsvirus eingefangen hat, oder versehentlich ein oder mehrere Dateien oder gar ganze Ordner gelöscht hat. Für OneDrive for Business gab es das schon länger, derzeit wird dieser Service auf allen Tenants in Office 365 ausgerollt. Die Vorgehensweise ist überall gleich. Navigieren Sie mit einem Browser zur Dokumentenbibliothek, wo sie Dateien wiederherstellen möchten. Klicken Sie dann auf das Zahnradsymbol. Jetzt sehen Sie alle Eigenschaften und dort taucht auch das Wiederherstellen auf. (Wenn es noch nicht auftaucht, dann ist es derzeit noch nicht in ihrem Tenant verfügbar). Für den Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive.exe) hat Microsoft verschiedene Gruppenrichtlinien veröffentlicht. Eine davon ist für Firmen, bei dem automatisch eine oder mehrere Dokumentenbibliotheken von verschieden Seiten automatisch verbunden und der Inhalt synchronisiert werden soll. Das kling nicht nur interessant, es eröffnet auch neue Möglichkeiten. Aber was im nachstehenden Artikel beschrieben wird, zeigt auch die derzeitigen Limitierungen auf. Als vor mehr als einem Jahr die Integration von OneDrive mit Windows begann (Windows Version 1709 und OneDrive Files on Demand), habe ich das mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge begrüßt. Positiv Es wurde im Windows Team mit der Integration der unterschiedlichen Status in das Filesystem NTFS und dem Explorer wirklich zuverlässige Arbeit geleistet. OneDrive | neue Insider Version 18.240.1202.0003

Microsoft hat zum Jahresende 2018 noch eine neue Version des Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive.exe) im Insiders Ring veröffentlicht, welche die Versionsnummer 18.240.1202.0003 trägt. Diese Version korrigiert den Fehler, der in der Version 18.235.1125.0006 aufgetreten ist, bei dem man, wenn keine Internetverbindung vorlag, Dateien nicht mehr löschen konnte. Der Status der Datei steht bei “wird ausgerollt”, ich habe bisher noch keinen automatische Download sehen können, ich musste diese Version manuell herunterladen. Microsoft has released at the end of the year 2018 a new version of the Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive.exe). It was published in the Insiders  Ring, has the number 18.240.1202.0003 and fixed a bug in Version 18.235.1125.0006. So in the version 18.235.1125.0006 you cannot delete a file with the Windows Explorer in a synced Library, if you do not have a Internet connection. Und 4 Tage später erreichte mich die Version 18.235.1125.0006, worüber es (noch) keine Dokumentation gibt.
