Microsoft has introduced „Simplified Sharing,“ a new sharing experience aimed at making sharing easier and more secure for users and organizations. The update provides flexible options for sharing links, including the ability to customize settings before sharing. Administrators can also adjust default settings in the SharePoint admin center. The simplified sharing dialog can be accessed from various Microsoft products, including OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and more.

The rollout plan is divided into Targeted Release and Standard Release, with completion expected by the end of August 2023.
