Again, I receive daily requests that the website that Microsoft provides to get the latest versions, is not up to date. All I can say to that is. That’s right. They’ve been trying to automate that for quite a while.

So only my website remains, whereby I had enormous problems during my illness to comprehend all this. Because Microsoft has changed a lot at the turn of the year. In the past, an Insider version often became a production version, whereby only minor changes, i.e. minimal changes, naturally resulted in a new version. This seems to have changed now. Unfortunately, there is neither documentation nor confirmation from Microsoft.

Well, we will see how this develops: There is no information about what has changed in each version. A monthly Microsoft OneDrive blog post can’t help with that. But maybe we have to take into account the last wave of layoffs at Microsoft.

Insider Version 23.048.0305.0002

The version 23.048.0305.0002 finally brings help to the settings for „Files On Demand„. Until this version, even though the group policy „Files on Demand“ was set, the user could change these settings himself. There is still a small bug, but the OneDrive product group has already been informed about it.
