OneDrive: Delete and Restore

Delete and Restore in OneDrive for Business

This article was published first at Tekkigurus.com (7/7/2023), but tekkigurus.com has been closed, so I decided, to republish the article here again:

My article explains how to delete and restore files and folders in OneDrive, especially when working collaboratively with others. It shows how to share a folder with another user, how to use Add Shortcut to my files to access shared files, and how to use file versioning to track changes. It also covers different scenarios of deleting and restoring files, such as using the recycle bin, restoring a previous version, or restoring the entire OneDrive to a previous time. The article provides screenshots and tips to help users understand how OneDrive’s file management works.

Collaboration is one of the key features of OneDrive. Users can share files and folders with others by sending them a link or inviting them to access the content. They can also set permissions for each user to control who can view or edit the content. When working collaboratively on a file or folder, OneDrive’s file versioning feature allows users to track changes made by each user and restore previous versions if needed.

Deleting files and folders in OneDrive is easy but restoring them can be confusing for some users. My article explains how to restore deleted files from the recycle bin or restore a previous version of a file.
