Yesterday I installed the pre-release version of OneDrive on my iPhone, Apple calls these versions Testflight. And the version of OneDrive there has the version number 15.27.2. And there was a very interesting note there:

Build 15.27.2 (Testflight), is the latest version of the OneDrive iOS and iPadOS apps that can be installed on iOS 16 or iPadOS 16. The next OneDrive version will only support iOS 17 and 18 and iPadOS 17 and 18.

To Do

Most people will have the current version 15.26.3 installed. If your iPhone has version 16 (iPadOS 16) of the operating system and you cannot or do not want to update to iOS 17 or 18 (iPadOS version 17 or 18), you must not install OneDrive version >15.27.2 under any circumstances.
